TCB INNOVATION — SHIRTS

TCB Sewn-In Interlining

No Glue.

Most brands fuse collars and cuffs with iron-on synthetic adhesive — glue sitting directly against your skin at your neck and wrists, all day. We engineered a proprietary alternative: a soft yet structured collar and cuff support system built from sewn-in cotton layers. Designed and developed in-house at TCB, it delivers exceptional structure without stiffness, and natural breathability without compromise. No glue rubs against your skin. Collars and cuffs hold their shape through repeated wear — no bubbling, no yellowing from glue oxidation. Shape that lasts the life of the garment, through every wash.

The collar and cuff are where most shirts fail. Ours are engineered to outlast the fabric around them.

SHIRT CONSTRUCTION
📐
Pattern Drafting
Engineered in-house using 2D flat construction and 3D fit testing. No licensed blocks from external pattern services. Every pattern element specific to TCB.
In-House
🧵
Sewn-In Cotton Interlining
Collar and cuffs structured with sewn-in cotton layers — no iron-on adhesive, no synthetic fusing agent against your skin. Shape that holds through every wash, for the life of the garment.
TCB Method
24–28 Stitches Per Inch
Standard industry density is 14–18 SPI. At 24–28, seams are finer, softer against the body, and under less tension per thread — producing a hem that sits nearly invisible when tucked.
Precision
🪡
Hand-Worked Buttonholes
Each buttonhole worked by hand in silk thread — a keyhole cut with a wrapped continuous edge, giving natural elasticity and sealing against fraying. No machine cut, no exposed corners.

Hand-Sewn Buttons
Each button sewn with a three-point stitch and a hand-formed thread shank that holds the button clear of the placket. Mother-of-Pearl as standard; natural horn available.

✍️
Hand Pick Stitching
Fine hand pick stitching along shirt edges — a refined finishing detail that adds subtle texture and character. The same technique used on TCB jackets, carried through to shirts.
Signature Detail
👁️
Invisible Hem
The shirt hem is finished to sit nearly seamless against the body when tucked. At 24–28 SPI, the stitch line is fine enough to disappear into the fabric weave.

Thread Selection
Color, weight, and fiber content of thread chosen individually per style. Silk for buttonholes and buttons; construction thread selected for strength, tension, and visual harmony.

SCULPTED FIT — SHIRTS

Designed to the Body

Shaped. Not Flat.

The TCB shirt silhouette is not a standard block adjusted for size. Every curve — through the body, at the collar stand, along the shoulder — is designed specifically. The fit is a consequence of the pattern, not the fabric pulling against it.

📐
Body Curve
The side seam tapers through the waist and releases at the hip. The shirt follows the body through movement — it does not hold a rigid shape against it.
In-Pattern
🧵
Collar Architecture
Stand height and spread are designed to frame the neck and sit cleanly against a jacket lapel. No gap at the back. No collar curling away from the neck through the day.
Designed
↔️
Shoulder Placement
The sleeve is set at a precise pitch. The shoulder seam sits at the shoulder point — not shifted forward or back. The sleeve hangs clean without pulling across the chest.
Exact
📏
Tuck Length
The hem is cut long enough to stay tucked through movement but not so long it bunches at the waist. The hem curve is designed for this — not arrived at by chance.

SHIRT CARE
🫧
Laundering
Professional laundering recommended. Cold delicate machine wash acceptable. Hang to dry — never tumble dry.
🚫
Bleach
Never use bleach or harsh detergents. They weaken silk thread and damage the cotton interlining over time.

Ironing
Iron on medium heat while slightly damp. The sewn-in interlining holds its shape — no special care needed for collar or cuffs.
🪵
Storage
Hang on wide wooden hangers. Our interlining does not degrade — the collar will hold its shape for the life of the garment.

THE FULL LINEN CANVAS

Structure That Breathes

Full Canvas.

Most ready-to-wear jackets use a fused (glued) chest piece or a half-canvas. We build every jacket on a full linen canvas that spans the entire chest and lapel. Hand pad-stitching and hand-rolling anchor it by hand, creating a chest piece that molds to your body over time — developing a drape and fit that becomes uniquely yours.

A full canvas jacket improves with every wear. A fused jacket deteriorates.

JACKET CONSTRUCTION

SCULPTED FIT — JACKETS

A Fit That Belongs to You

Fit That Develops.

The TCB jacket does not hold the shape it left the factory in. The full linen canvas is alive — it responds to heat, movement, and posture. Over time it develops a drape that is specific to you. Not just your size. You.

📐
Chest Projection and Waist Suppression
Both are built into the pattern — not added with padding or stiffening. The jacket's shape is a consequence of how it is cut, not what is inserted into it.
In-Pattern
🌀
Lapel That Develops a Roll
Set and rolled by hand at construction. As the canvas settles, the lapel develops a natural, specific roll — shaped by how you move and how you carry the jacket. No two are the same.
Hand-Set
↔️
Shoulder and Sleeve Pitch
The shoulder line is clean and natural — no padding to manufacture width. The sleeve is pitched so it hangs straight without pulling forward at rest or during movement.
Natural
♾️
The Fit Improves Over Time
A fused jacket holds the factory shape — then slowly loses it. A TCB jacket starts well and improves. The canvas responds to your body with every wear, settling into a fit that becomes increasingly yours.

SCULPTED FIT — SUITS

Two Pieces. One Silhouette.

Engineered Together.

A suit's fit is not just how each piece fits individually — it is how the jacket and trouser work together. Both are designed as a system. The jacket hem length, the trouser rise, the seat of each piece — all considered against each other before cutting begins.

📐
Proportions Designed Across Both Pieces
Jacket hem length is designed against the trouser rise. The seat of the jacket accounts for the trouser seat beneath it. The silhouette is considered as a whole — not two garments that happen to match.
As a System
♾️
The Jacket Fit Develops
The full linen canvas molds to the chest and shoulder over time. Each wear settles the jacket more precisely to the body — a fit that improves rather than degrades.
Canvas
Trouser Drape Off the Jacket
The silk-lined trouser front falls cleanly from the jacket hem — no resistance, no bunching at the thigh where the two pieces meet. The break of the trouser is considered against the jacket's length.

🔲
Back Vent and Trouser Seat
The jacket's back vent is cut to work with the trouser seat beneath it — it releases cleanly when seated rather than riding up or pulling across the hips.

The Trouser You Stop Thinking About

Fit at Every Point.

A well-fitting trouser disappears. The waistband stays where it starts. The seat does not pull. The thigh has room without excess. The crease holds. Every proportion is designed to achieve this — not left to chance.

📐
Rise and Seat in Proportion
Rise determines where the trouser sits. The seat is shaped to follow without pulling when seated. These two dimensions are designed in relation to each other — not set independently.
Designed
🦵
Leg Line from Thigh to Hem
The width at the thigh, knee, and hem is designed in proportion. The leg reads as a clean, deliberate line — not a size-chart approximation. The crease holds because the grain is cut correctly.
Proportioned
How the Trouser Drapes
The silk-lined front panels allow the trouser to hang cleanly off the waistband rather than catching against the leg. The fabric falls — it does not cling, bunch, or pull across the knee.
Clean Drape
🔲
Flat Front — by Design
The front panel is cut flat and the closure is designed to keep it that way. The trouser front reads as one uninterrupted plane from waistband to thigh — no bunching, no visible disruption.

TROUSER CARE
🧺
Cleaning
Professional dry cleaning recommended. Cold gentle machine wash acceptable for cotton-blend fabrics. Do not tumble dry.
🌡️
Pressing
Press with a damp cloth on low iron setting, using a pressing cloth to protect the fabric surface. Press along the crease, not across it.
🪵
Storage
Hang on a clamp hanger to preserve the crease, or fold cleanly in a drawer. Never crumple or stuff into a bag when traveling.
🌬️
After Wearing
Allow the trouser to air for a few hours before hanging. The silk lining breathes — give it time to recover before storing.
