Each jacket is built on a full linen canvas with layered padding adjusted to the style. Hand pad-stitching and hand-rolling techniques shape the chest and lapel for a sculptural fit, natural drape, and lasting form.
A hand-finished blind hem creates a clean, controlled finish that supports better drape and a more elegant silhouette.
The front of each trouser is lined in silk for a smoother feel, cleaner drape, and easier wear. It helps the trouser glide on comfortably, reduces catching against the leg, and supports a more refined silhouette.
The crotch area is finished with an added cotton lining for improved comfort, reinforcement, durability, and ease of movement.
Colour, stripe and pattern are aligned from jacket to trouser, so the two read as one continuous silhouette rather than a pair that merely coordinates.
The lapel is rolled by hand from within and stitched into the structure rather than pressed flat or fused. With wear it settles into a natural roll, one that becomes particular to the man who wears it.
Buttons and buttonholes are sewn by hand for durability, refinement, and longevity. Each genuine horn or mother-of-pearl button is secured with a hand-sewn three-point stitch to reduce thread abrasion, and finished with a hand-formed thread shank for a clean, dimensional appearance.
Every buttonhole — including the four working buttonholes on each sleeve — is worked by hand in silk, its keyhole edge wrapped closed. The wrap gives the hole its natural give and keeps it from fraying through hundreds of fastenings.
Two vents cut into the back, shaped to release cleanly when you sit so the jacket never rides up.
The waistband is built in two halves, left and right, and joined at the centre back with a hand-sewn connection stitch — the thread that closes the two sides into one. Worked by hand in matched thread, the join carries a small measure of give, so the waist holds its line through the day yet the trouser can be let out or taken in cleanly whenever the fit calls for it.
